At one point in time I had two teen aged daughters and no I wouldn't have. He's a bit too negative and dark for me.

Wherever did you come up with the idea that a man like Poe WOULD babysit?
It is better NOT to have any MAN babysit. They do strange things, some of them illegal. They have NO intuition and are more likely to let a child do something dangerous (only mothers have eyes in the back of their heads, although some daughters with siblings develop them early). Getting a man or even an older boy to babysit is a last resort.
