They dont give you guys Top Contributor Badges. Thats not cool.

Okay, I personally do not care about the Top Contributor Badges, but I do think it is wrong not to give them to those in the P&S category that deserve them. Some of those polls and surveys (definitely not all, or even half) are real questions that are used to help write papers, etc. Some of the questions are just plain interesting and so are the answers and I think those that take their time out to write a respectable answer should be rewarded. However, I can see yahoo's point in not doing so. You have a lot of those questions and answers that tend to end up just being chat speak. Good question.

I agree. I just found out that they don't give top contributor badges because P&S is really considered a type of chatting and they don't think you really learn anything from it. I think it's BS because this has gotta be the most popular category on Y!A. Why not give TC badges in this category?!

I don't want to upset anyone, but I don't want a TC badge. They are bad news. They get you targeted and deleted. I know enough TCs that had those problems. I know of at least four TCs that were deleted and many others that came close. Some even quit Y!A because of it. If Yahoo had kept their word and given P&S the option of hiding their badges, things would have worked out fine. Instead, they took the badges away and that was it.

I've tried but I just don't fit in. I have a 21% Best Answer rate that I feel is not only respectable, but down right New England Patriots, Tom Brady to Randy Moss like for P&S as 20 of that 21% was achieved right here in P&S which is actually very difficult. I've been very fortunately. And yet, outside this forum, I don't garner the respect I should because, well, i'm a P&Ser. One day...i'm gonna break away. Maybe in Theater and Arts, or Sports! or Singles and Dating. I'm gonna be somebody!

I think Yahoo should put "polls&surveys" on the main categories page.
I don't care about the top contributors badge. To get top contributor I would have to answer questions all day on here, and im not doing that.

I only preheat the oven if I have to bake. I don't do it if I'm making Mac & Cheese, for example.
Also, if you just put the pizza in the oven without preheating, it's likely to turn out soggy, but it's still edible.
Wait... wrong question!!
Um... the P&S category taken elsewhere? Sure... I recommend Local Business ---> Indonesia ---> Aceh. Last time I checked, nobody had ever asked a question in that category.

Aw, I remember the days when I used to have 2 TC badges, then I came here and Y!A stripped me of both. I like p&s though, so it doesn't really matter.

I HAD a badge for P&S before they took them away, and hated HAVING it.
To the haters it was like having a big orange target on your back, and I got violations all the time for no reason.

they give the top answerer an appreciation though..

Yes, that's a good idea. It is "out and out" discrimination and we should file a Class Action against them.
