You do it everytime you buy from a company that lobbies government. Or donate to Greenpeace or other groups.

I've never actually voted for a lobbyist, but as for paying special interest groups...
I bought gas last week. I bought groceries yesterday. I bought 2 pair of jeans and a shirt recently and I just paid my NRA dues.
I paid my electric and water bills and watched a stupid documentary on Global Climate Change.
Get the point? There is a lobby group for virtually every interest you can name and another one AGAINST each of them!
If you're going to rail against Lobby Groups then show some intellectual honesty and rail against the government agencies that exist BECAUSE of lobby pressure.
We could start with the FDA, EPA, NEA and the National Endowment for the Arts, just for starters!

"Lobbying the congress" is expressly mentioned and protected in the constitution. However, I'm sure they did not have in mind the corrupt system in play today.
And why do you think so many Repubs are retiring from Congress and leaving the Bush administration? It's so they can become lobbyists. Next year, the law changes so that they have to wait 2 years before accepting a position as a lobbyist.

Ah, outlawing lobbyists would sure help the country. It's really too bad that no lobbyists will ever allow it to happen. I'm starting to think that with all the money being paid out to lobbyists that I should try to get a job as one. I couldn't though because I'm not pure evil.

"Our" government is beyond our control and not responsive to the American people. It's no longer our government.
