Black mascara and eyeliner is alright. But black eyeshadow is pushing it...

Maybe...

Try doing one sweep of mascara so its not to clumpy.
Then with eyeline, do a winged thing at the edge of the eye, just a real small one though.

Then maybe a different color of eyeshadow. If you have blue eyes, try green eyeshadow.
If green, try purple.
I personally think to much black makes you look tired and un-inspired.

no its a cute style. Its just more bold then most people wear. Some people cant pull it off either. I wish I could!!I wouldnt say its alot of makeup. people where other shades of color with mascara and eyeliner all the time and its not considered alot but when its black eye shadow its just more bold so it looks like it may be more.

Black eyeshadow, yes. If you put on very little so that it looks gray, that might be ok. Black mascara and eyeliner are ok as long as they're not applied heavily.

I wear black mascara and black eyeliner

the black mascara probably detracts from your eyes
lighten it up by highlighting with a light color under your brow
and gradating down to the lid with a brown or purple

this will give you a refreshed look

It depends how much, if you wear like loads of eyeliner and eyeshadow - yes it's too much. If its just a thin line and a bit of eyeshadow, then not really.

It depends on how you apply it. And where your going when you wear black eye shadow. I know alot of the actress and singers are wearing it. Alot of people put silver in the crease of your eye over the black. It highlights the black.

I've never tried it because I don't know how to apply it right. But I've seen alot of girls it looks good on. Try it! Practice makes perfect!

I don't know about "too much" - it's more like "too harsh." A lot depends on your coloring, too.

P.S. If you're not sure about the look on you, try something else. Your lack of confidence in the results will show. Go with something you KNOW looks great on you, and you'll have confidence as an accessory!

Try switching to brown or grey, depending on your skin color. Black can look too severe, especially if you're wearing shadow, liner AND mascara all in black.

I wouldn't considered it to much if you were going out and had it on. But on a daily basis, you should try some other colors. Some that would complement your skin tone. Like neutral colors.
