where in PA. North PA gets dumped with snow, south and central get way less. Tell him to get a winter car and put those away for winter.

The cost to winterize 3 cars, snowtires and all, which would just make them slightly useful in the winter and not save them from any damages, would be more than the cost of getting a cheap truck or jeep.

depending on where in PA you live will determine how much snow you'll get, im near philly and we don't get too much, but up north and out west always get a lot. I'm sure his cars will be fine in a garage but just in case, I dont know... an ice scraper? a car cover (or 3), snow tires?

It's not the snow and ice that ruins cars in the northeast. It's the salt they flood the roads with to make the roads passable that ruin a car's finish.

Get him a gift card or coupon book for his local car wash so he can get the salt off.

his Bimmer and possibly Mercedes coupe need to be garaged in the winter, because it's possibly rear wheel drive, the best thing you can do for him it's probably teach old man how to drive a stick and get him some nice snow tires.

Traction strips, I had these when i lived in PA, and they are AWESOME!! All they are, are platic slotted sheets, about as wide as a tire, if you get stiuck in snow, you just put them under your tires in the direction you want to move and you drive right out. That would be great.

I love snow=-)

Get him a car wash gift certificate. The salt on the roads is so friggin corrosive and he will need to leep them clean or the dreaded rust will attack his "babies" Or you can take his cars for yourself and give him a 1980 ford truck with one different color door so he will fit in in Pennsylvania.

A cover for them in the winter. And a 4 wheel drive to actually get around in.

I live in Pennsylvania and it hasn't really snowed here yet. Just ice storms.
It does get real hot here too in the summer.
We didn't get much snow last year either.
I lived here all my life.
Warm cloths because it does get cold here. It can get real cold too.

your dads in for a rude awaking, in the east they use salt to clear the roads and other really harsh chems that are bad for car paints.
Remember back in the day they always tried to sell you that under coating that no one ever bought? Well that what he will want to start with.
Then i recomend a good car wash or detail shop. for after that sunday drive...
