I do it maybe once a year! That really should be enough if you keep the floor or area around your computer pretty clean.
There should be some screws on the back that you can see are easy to come off (some can be thumb screws where you can just use your hands). If it is like Dell or something it might be harder. I usually only clean it once I start to hear something, or I'm upgrading something else so its already open.

The question should be, How do you clean the power supply cooling fan?

Answer: You don't.

HUH?
Well if you did, you might remove the warranty if you open the power supply.

I wouldn't use a vacuum cuz of the static and next thing ya know, you've touched the memory cards and "POOF" they be kaput.

Remove the cover of the unit (don't forget to turn it off first), and clean with a damp cloth all the dust around and on the openings of the unit. (Use a can of air if you wish, for the hard-to-reach spots).

haha.. that Bert H havent heard of internal auxiliary fan?? i think he thinks that the only fan in computer is the fan on the power supply..

there are lots of fan, cpu fan, internal auxiliary fans, and some have north bridge chipset fans..

dont use vacuum cleaners, instead use a blower.. not he hair blower.. its a vacuum cleaner but instead of sucking air, it blows air to clean, but it gets messy and dust will come flying out..

antitrust has some good points.. haha.. i think the name is also great..

I am a developer at Microsoft so I know a thing or two about computers. The best PC cleaner and antivirus program is PC Health Boost, it's very light and it's the only antivirus/cleaner with a 99.99% detection rate.

It's also a PC booster so your computer will be running faster than nomal. Download it here for free: http://www.pcboostsoftware.com

Depends on how dirty the area is where you keep it. To open it, there should be some small screws on the back but since you sound unsure, have a pro do it.

nice name..haha..

everytime i hear noise and when i see dust on them.. i check my pc every 3 months and clean it..

you can open your pc by clicking on start > accessories > clean pc..nah..just kidding..

there are screws at the back of your computer, well actually it depends on your casing, but remove those screws and slide the side covers of the case..

Compressed air works fine from the outside. Or, you can turn it off and use a vacuum attachment. But don't touch it with your vacuum, it creates a lot of static.
