The product rule says that: The root of a product equals the products of the roots.

In symbols for square roots it says:

sqrt(AB) = sqrt(A)sqrt(B)

So sqrt(18) = sqrt(2*9) = sqrt(2)sqrt(9) = 3sqrt(2)

Simplifying it...
same thing as sqrt(9*3)
