Before i had a job I would get £15 a month for credit (this only started when I was 15) from my parents, before that they would pay occasionally for clothes and things I need, and for stuff I needed for school and clubs like trampolining and guides but didn't really get any money, other than for credit. I would also get £2 a week from my nan (have done since i was born) and she saves £1 a week in money box for me which used to go in the bank, but now i tend to spend. I had a paper round at 15 so used to get £14 a week from that, then i got a part-time job when i started sixth form, i also get ema (money for staying in education after 16) so at the moment I get £332 a month during term time and £212 during holidays but I am 17 nearly 18 and paying for driving lessons (about £180 a month) and I have to pay £15 a month for broadband. So for a 13 year old that is loads because taking out driving and broadband (as I assume she doesn't have to pay for those) I get £130ish in term time and I have to buy all my own clothes and toiletries (toothpaste, shower gel etc). I would say £60 a month would be more reasonable, that allows £15 for credit, £10 for travel, £10 for cinema/bowling etc, £5 for magazines (teem mags are at least £2 these days) and £10 to save for bigger items (or could go on more travel etc). But to be honest I managed on £3 a week until I was 15 so maybe just raise that a little seeing as things have gone up a lot say £5 a week and then they help out if she has to buy a friend a birthday present. It helps you learn to save.

I finally met someone that thinks like me!!! I used to hate to do laundry. Even after years of marriage I would still have a huge pile of laundry and bought new clothes instead of washing.
Now, I am fortunate to have someone who is doing it for me. I felt so bad for her that I actually bought her a new front loading washer and dryer (it is my laundry room of course) with all the bells and whistles!!!
I'm afraid to admit this to my Mother as she is such a neak freak!!!! She's loose it, I can just imagine!!!
She gets paid very well and believe it or not, she does her own here too!! I don't care, I just need mine done. As long as she does her job here I don't care!!! I love her, I adore her. She knows I HATE laundry!!!

lol oh my, yes, right now our washer is broken and has been for a couple of days.
and there are 8 people living here, and we normally do 4-5 loads of laundry a day.
so it's REALLY backed up.
mountains of laundry spilling out of the hampers and over the laundry room.
we're supposed to be getting a new washer today though.
I hope so.
God, please, I can't find my way through the house anymore with all these clothes anywhere ...

;O)

Not that I had so much laundry just to lazy to go do it. I had to go to the laundry mat and I hated that. I have gone and bought new stuff so I don't have to do laundry for a few more days. (underwear and socks)

I do my laundry 3 times a day.

I'm fine with laundry, but I can't stand washing dishes.
Should get new dishes everyday.

I know people who do this.

My buddy Daniel is a comprehensive slob, as opposed to a simple slob. He has a system for stuffing dirty clothing into bins, boxes, closets, and drawers. He's incredibly picky about his clothing, in any event - he threw out a pair of $200 Nikes because they got a smudge on them the first time he wore them. And this guy ain't rich.

anyhow, I recall once visiting his place when he was on a temporary duty assignment in the Marine Corps. he was getting ready to leave for a new posting, and I watched in disbelief as suddenly mounds of dirty clothes appeared from every crack and crevice in the apartment. he filled up bags with them, and then hauled them out to the trash.

Another guy I know cleans up properties after their owners or residents die. He found one place with a basement (quite rare in Florida) and the ENTIRE sub-level was filled to the ceiling with dirty laundry.

Me, I am soooo happy that my current place has a utility room. I was delirious with joy the day I installed the new washer-dryer set.

But then, I'm a cheap date ....

No, I do not let the laundry get that far behind because it does become a pain when you have to many clothes and other things to fold!

I have clean laundry that is piled up on the couch. I do the dishes but I don't like it wouldn't it be fun to throw it all in the trash and go shopping instead!

I hate doing laundry too! I'm just sitting here at my computer in the basement, looking over at the pile sitting there waiting to be done...how sad that I'm too lazy to walk the 15 feet to put it in the washer...
