I would have to say, the first, because you dont know what to expect. i think your more in shock on how much it hurts, than the actual pain itself. Know what I mean?
The "cant sleeps", the 'cant eats", the "cant have fun, because your always thinking about that person", yada, yada.
Now that's not to say that the future cuts dont hurt as well, but the "knowing" of what's coming, helps you to find your way out easier.
You know you have to make yourself go out and not isolate, you know that the pain will lessen, a day at a time.
You find it easier to be more vulnerable and gentler with yourself, knowing that as long as you dont give up on love, love wont give up on you.

No no Dr. E, I don't think that the first cut is the deepest. I think it just FEELS the deepest, because we don't have another hurt in our experience to compare it to.
In my experience, the worst cuts definitely come later in life. I lost my fiance at 26, which was absolutely devastating. I don't think I've ever been the same, since.
Also, as you may know, I lost my Mom suddenly this October. It's been a devastating experience & I thank God that I live just around the corner from my Dad.
They were married for 56 years & I can only hope that I'm making his life easier. I think THESE are much worse than the cuts we endure early in life..........

The first cut was not only the deepest, but it hurt the worst. Fortunately or Unfortunately (how ever one wants to look at it), I've become numb to further cuts as I think I've built up a lot of scar tissue over time.

The first cut isn't always the deepest. There are relationships that can develop that are "intense" or long lasting (see marriages or engagements). Those break ups are very tough.
I think young people will usually say "the first cut". But I've seen friends and family that have been engaged and/or married and it didn't work out... it was really ugly (especially where kids are involved).

I want to say that the order or time did not matter. The Deepest cut was the worst, hurt me most and had a lasting effect on me. It's all in how much you lost.

It all hurt--- but I think the first cut was the deepest.
At least for the later cuts, I knew how to handle them...

First cut was deepest, then the guy ran out of strength for the subsequent cuts...and his knife got dull.

That depends upon the situation, what was your opponent using, a short sword or Claymore? In all seriousness, I would have to say the cuts later in life.
