I live in WI and I went to Montana, Glacier Mountains, Yellowstone and also saw The Badlands in SD. This spring, I am looking to go on another adventure. I love to hike and want to see some beautiful scenery. Any suggestions of places you may have seen that you would suggest hiking/backpacking to? Inside the US. . Thanks

For the spring, I'd check out the southwest. Early spring in the desert is amazing witht he cactus and flower blooms. It'll be warm but not silly hot and the nights are cool. Arizona is full of places as is CA and NM. Here are a few of my personal favs.:

I've been quite a few different places around the U.S., but my favorites are still back home. For amazing backpacking all year 'round, the Diamond Peak Wilderness and Three Sister's Wilderness are fantastic. There are tons of other gorgeous places to see in Oregon... Check out this site for information on trails, sightseeing, etc. in the Willamette National Forest:

You can also navigate to other National Forests in Oregon and the rest of the United States from this site.

You point out destructive aspects and wanting to get faraway from Earthquakes. sure that hyperlink you confirmed does have an Earthquake "possibility" section in Colorado. i've got lived in Denver, CO Springs, and Boulder for over 2 many years. I keep in mind as quickly as would years in the past we had an "Earthquake". They information did a large article on the way it shook one guy or woman's image physique off the wall...and that became into it. the biggest destructive aspects are climate correct: twister, Hail, Flash Floods, Blizzards. maximum of which could be arranged for and have rarely been a large concern. i'd say the snow is extra confusing interior the CO Springs section than it extremely is interior the north (Boulder, feet. Collins). I stay in Boulder now and that they continuously say we are in for the "a hundred 12 months Flood", yet once you reside a sprint exterior of Boulder you may get faraway from the "flood direction". Over all i've got not had any lawsuits dwelling right here.
