I am very technically challenged. Is there some sort of portable boom-box like device that will record CD's (so I can transfer over casette tape music)? I wanna get all my old good stuff onto CD format.

OH MY GOD that all sounds WAY too complicated. ISN'T there some sort of boom box like thing that can record CD's? (like does anyone know if such a thing exists?)

Connect the headphone jack of your Cd Player to the Line IN Jack on your computer. You will need a recording (capturing) software which will take the music and create a file. Save this file in either Audio Format or MP3.

Then using your burning software, create the cd.

You will have to convert those cassette music to MP3s first then make a CD out of those MP3s.
