I had unprotected sex a few months ago, silly i know. That month i came on my period, a few days late but it was very heavy, a lot heavier than normal, so i presumed i couldnt be pregnant. The next month i came on my period on time, but it was very light. I had had a fever during this period to thought maybe it had been lighter because i had been unwell. The next period i had was again late, but quite painful and heavy. Now i am 4days late for my period and have very tender breasts and have been very tired lately. Could i be pregnant? I have never had such irregular periods and am worried i could be pregnant as someone told me you could have periods during pregnancy. I havent had any nausea and dont think i have gained any weight-should i be worried?

yes you can be pregnant and still have periods. if you have never had irregular periods before then it sounds like something is definately up and the tiredness and tender breasts sound like pregnancy symptoms. you could still be pregnant even though you havnt had any other symptoms (like nausea and weight gain) some women get no symptoms what so ever. i suggest you take a home pregnancy test as soon as possible, if its positive then you are pregnant, you will have to go to the doctor anyway to get booked for pregnancy care ect and also he/she will be able to sort out your periods and find out why youre still getting them.
if the test is negative still go to the doctor as there could be other reasons why you have missed your period etc so the doctor will be able to find out what the reason is.
if you had unprotected sex then obviously its likely you are pregnant but a test will let you know for sure. you dont need me to lecture you but if you arent pregnant please use protection in the future, its worth it if your not ready for a baby.
good luck x

you can have bleeding during your pregnancy esp in the 1st trimester but it is not medically possible to have an actual menstrual period because your baby will be inbedded in the wall of your uterus---which will be stripped if you are not pregnant--during a period. if you have certain other issues you can bleed during pregnancy ---like fibroids.....also take a pregnancy test if it comes out negative then go to a doctor to have a blood test taken if you still think you a pregnant. good luck to you

Yes,you can,but the presence of the fever, pain and fatigue would concern me more with the possibility of STD or infection.
It was a poor decision to have unprotected sex,but no use crying over spilled milk. However, undetected STD's and infections can do everything from leaving you sterile to killing you.Don't play around with this ! Get checked! If you can't afford to go to the doctor, your local health clinic will see you.

yes you could but it could also be a number of things you should just take a test so you dont be worried. also it could all be in your head! I am being serious it was in mine I was trying to get pregnant with my husband and every month I felt pregnant! for months it was negative. I felt pregnant though. But you dont gain weight right away anyways but you should just take the test. Your body could just be playing tricks on you.Good luck!

ive never heard of you having a period during pregnancy, the only blood that would be coming out is when you spot, which is in the begining of your pregnancy...Goodluck
