I only use Trend Micro antispyware. And it is excellent. I use Twister Trojan Antivirus from Beijing, China.. http;//www.filseclab.com State of the art technology. One time fee of $29.99 for life with daily auto. updates and all new versions for life.

Nortons is pure garbage, resource hog, fails to find much of anything. And if a virus is found fails to remove 100%. Plus will leave behind when you remove over 375 fragments of Nortons, glued to all your files/folders and registry. Will cause conflict.

You can download a really good antivirus for free for home personal use. Has an excellent background scanner and updates on the hour auto. http://www.avast.com

Avast is far better the Trend Micro antivirus, and for sure Nortons.

Between those two choices Trend Micro is better. After extensively researching all anti-virus products I can say the best anti-virus is Kaspersky, though NOD32 is better for computer experts. Kaspersky is the best all-round anti-virus program. NOD32 runs faster and has less software conflicts but as a consequence the user interface is difficult to use.

The most popular free anti-virus programs (AVG and Avast) have poor detection rates (82.82%, 87.46% respectively). Norton is notoriously bloated and takes forever to perform full systems scans.

It has been proven ESET NOD32 and Kaspersky are better than the best sellers Norton and McAfee (see the consumersearch source for reviews of the top anti-virus products). NOD32 is the "Best anti-virus product of 2006" -Av Compartives.

Trend Micro Antivirus is a viable alternative if you're having a lot of trouble with software conflicts. Trend Micro rounds out the top three.

If I had to choose between these two It would be Trend Micro. But why not use one of the free security programs that are available from the web. I use AVG but Avast is also very good.

AVG

For Windows Vista, Trend is the best. If I still had Windows XP, I would use Norton.
