Tell him they have your feet in complete agony! If he was considerate enough to buy you shoes (not all men understand how important they are) he will understand if they are crippling you! I mean he wouldn't like it if you bought his underwear too small so it garrotted his crown jewels would he now!?!

try to wear them in by wearing them round the house or get some moleskin.
If that doesn't help, I'm sorry!
I had the same dilema one time when I was going to a wedding, I was a bridesmaid and the bride had ordered the shoes for all the bridesmaids and not only were the heels super skinny, the shoes were a size too small. As soon as I got home took them off and as I was pulling one offthe heel snapped in half!

First, see if you can take them back to get a half size larger like the other poster said..

Then if you can't, take some Motrin and once you get there, hit the Tequila... THAT will teach him.... the little lady drinking tequila in her stilettos at the office party.... he'll be the talk of the office the next day, hehehehe...

Good luck... and find a tight tight pair of thong undies - they can be the guy kind... but make sure they're two sizes too small and have him wear those all night while you're wearing your foot crushing pretty stilettos...

If they're adjustable, make them a little too big so your foot will have some room. Then, practice walking in them for a while. Bring a pair of shoes to change into if it gets too difficult. And if he asks about it, admit that they hurt, even though you love them. I'm sure he wouldn't want you to walk around in pain and not enjoy the party!

Hope this helps, and have a Merry Christmas.

you could wear them with stockings - either clear or coloured...

practice walking around in them for 10 - 20 minutes or so each day, leading up to the party, it will help you get use to walking in them.

what a lovely man you have to buy you such a nice gift!

Also, try not to stand in them for long periods (if you're not use to wearing them) and perhaps take a few anti-inflammitory tablets (something with ibuprofen in it) before you go to the party... helps to keep the swelling down.

when you get home, elevate your feet for a half hour or so, and give them a nice soak in some warm water. Then massage some cream into the soles of your feet. It'll help to stop them feeling quite so bad the next day!

Maybe a shoe stretcher. It slides in and it makes it bigger.
You could where them to the party but have a second set of shoes for later. Swap them out when you need the relief. He should understand or better yet exchange them for some other ones.

You could use them like they should be used and lay on your back; they look best in the air anyway. You are both happy then LOL

See if you can exchange them for a larger size. I assume it's a pump? And if so a lot of times the reason they hurt is because you need one size up - then put the insole in to keep your foot from sliding forward.
If for some reason they can not be exchanged - take them to your local department store (or if need be a shoe repair shop) and have them stretch them for you over night. Make sure they know what they are doing so they don't overstretch and ruin them. In most cases they can do a "quick stretch" for you so you can get an idea of what they will feel like when it's finished and you can make a choice whether you want them to stretch them or not.

You should have gotten half to a whole size larger than you normally wear in heels. There really is nothing to make it better. Just sit all night. You can tough it out while you walk in and out of the building, then just sit, and hope no one wants to dance.

Usually mine stop hurting the more I wear them in.

But is there anyway you can wear a different pair of shoes to get there while you are travelling and just put them on at the last minute while you're there?

Although if it was me - I would just tell him rather than suffer!

I know it sounds crazy but i work out in my stilettos.....i basically run up and down my paved driveway do the Karoke dances and all the moves we used to do for soccer practice until i break them in. also wear little bandages under the strapps to avoid blisters.....if its only for a christmas party than wear them!!!!!!! u can always sit down if ur feet hurt.... personally im a shorty so the higher the better! I wish my man bought me shoes and it would be even better if he has good taste!
