I went to the Uninstall place in Control Panel, but it didn't get rid of it. I don't know how/where to uninstall it! !:(

The only way is to go to start in your tray, open, then open accesories, open system tools, and open system restore. You should see dates if any are available where you can perform a system restore before you installed "Avant Browser". This will remove and take you back to your old system settings.

Try a system restore to the day before you installed it. Hope it helps. There is also the long way by going to the registry
