You worry too much. Children develop at different speeds. Some people are even smarter than other people and it has nothing to do with school or working with them on ABCs.

People are always looking at charts and comparing their kids when there is little you can do to make a difference. As a father of 4 I have two boys in the top 3% at their school and two that are average or maybe a little less than. They grew up in the same house same rules and they developed differently. Nothing I can do about that. I encourage them the same and manage their goals and my expectations differently based on their abilities.

Stop worrying about what’s not important and love them spend time with them and help them when they need it.

You are referring to the IQ of a child. In young age IQ is computed in terms of mental age in relation to chronological (actual/physical) age.The normal(IQ) child is the one whose mental age(m.a) is equal to chronological age(c.a),in your case 3/3. If child's m.a. is 4 and c.a.is 3 ,the child would be above average in IQ.If m.a is 2 and c.a is 3,she is below average in IQ.The mental age of a child is measured by several tools(Gessel's Developmental Schedule/Stanfor-Binet /Vineland Social maturity,as examples) which are based on simple test of age appropriate skills and observation of behaviour. If the IQ is very much low, one need to attend to it early. It is easy and simple, get it checked in any Psychological Clinic/Centre in case of doubt.
