If you took your meal, poured gasoline over it, lit it on fire and then started dancing around the burning plate while screaming out an unintelligible chanting then you may need to see a psychiatrist. However, I think you may just need to watch some Food Network TV shows, take a cooking class or two, ask for some hints from someone you know who is a good cook, or buy a cookbook. Of course, you could always just memorize the phone numbers for some good takeout places in your area. Good luck improving your cooking skills!

No, you need to stay in the kitchen and watch the food as it cooks, and you need to learn to regulate the heat. My husband is a retired chef who can make the BEST dinners ... but he still 'burns' the fried eggs all the time. I always tell him to turn the heat down and he does that ... but our stove has 2-10 controls, and he tries to fry eggs on 5 (the 'lowest' heat he uses) and I know that eggs cook best at 3-4! The difference? I'm a 'family cook' who tuaght my four children all how to cook, and he learned to cook from his mother, who was a diner cook. She also burned the eggs, so they just moved her to making pies! My husband makes the BEST pies, too, by the way. Get a good cookbook, and 'learn the heat temperatures on your stove, stay in the kitchen with the food while it's cooking (you may leave if something is baking as long as you set a timer that will go off at least 5 minutes BEFORE something is supposed to be 'done' ... and PRACTice, practice, PRACTICE!!!

Psychiatrist doesnt help with burning - got to see a burnt specialist - Dinner is not much hurt when burnt - its the diners who suffer the most.
Keep trying to adjust the flames and timers on ovens.

No, you just need to go to a cooking class to learn how to make good food. That or just buy a cookbook.
Wait, did you know how to cook well before this?? Answer me that, and I'll tell you if you do.

You need to think why? because you have many things in your head? many troubles? because you are in love with some one? because you were watching TV? First, find out why; and then find a solution.
When you are cooking try to be close in the kitchen, the art of cooking is been in the kitchen, close all the time, tasting, trying, adding, ...
Is easy, you can do it!!!!

I don't think there is any medication that can keep you from burning your dinner (unless you are doing this on purpose)
So they probably can't help you with that particular issue.
Now if there are other issues in your life.. then go for it.

That depends. Did you burn the dinner while you were cooking, or did you burn it afterwards? If afterwards, then you should see your psychiatrist. You might be a pyromaniac or retarded.
