The dream state is an interesting one. I think our brain's tend to incorporate a lot of external stimuli while we're dreaming. Have you ever heard a song in your dream and then woken up to find your alarm clock is on and it's playing that song? Or had a dream where your arm was cut off, and woken up to realize you're laying on top of it and it's fallen asleep?

I think it's fairly common. I'd be willing to bet that at least sometimes, it is external stimuli informing your dreams, and not the other way around. But I think it probably can go both ways. The connections between brain and nervous system are many and complicated.

ah jeese that's frightening. I always belived dreams have messages, if somone was attacking you then something bad might be ahead for you, that might do some painful damage, since you felt the affects of the dream even after you woke up. I've had dreams about animals and snakes after me but never getting shot. i think it might mean somone will betray you. Or really who knows, maybe, like they say, it's just your subconcious mind. what do you think of it?

Yes, I frequently dream about being shot and it's usually very vivid and realistic. I have no idea what this means.
