Ah great question.

Something intense in color, an image worthy of any Artist.

"Anticipation" can fool one though, in that SWEET isn't always the case.

They often "smell" rather EARTHY, and beyond flavor, TEXTURE is the soul of a Cherry.

The way they "feel" is a contradiction, often alanogous to Humans.

WE may be perceived at times, to have a HARD surface, yet are known by those close, to be Tender, inside. A Cherry is 180 degrees opposite that. Ask anyone who's ever broken a tooth on one.

you're treading on thin ground here, but in the spirit of cherry as a fruit, here goes:
cherries remind me of summertime & christmas dishes
they smell like sweetness and candy
they taste like sugary goodness
they feel like smooth & firm little globuels

The word Cherry makes me think of my friend from undergrad, she was from the Philippines and named Cherry - fantastic gal.

As for the fruit:
Munchen/Munich Viktualienmarkt. They have stalls in MarienPlatz that sell pounds of cherries to 'snack' on while you walk. Perfect summer treat, and much healthier than candy. Cherries are rich and taught. They stain my hands and lips and tongue and eventually make me want a tall glass of lemonade.

mmm.

i would describe a cherry as a red or black grape its very similar to grapes and they usually taste sweet or sour and when im eating cherries they just remind me of grapes except they have a hard stone in the middle.

I've grown to associate cherries with medication. Too much cough syrup I guess.
