"...ok, ron paul seems to be running for the wrong party because his values goes against traditional republican values."
Quite the contrary.
It seems Republicans, themselves, have strayed from traditional core priniciples and values due in part to their "borrow and spend" policies to fund foreign invasions and their relentless pursuit of pork when they had control of Congress. This is what Ron Paul goes against. He advocates a return to fiscal restraint and personal accountability, two things seriously lacking in this adminstration and the party as a whole.

Ron Paul is nothing like a democrat. The Republican party has run away from their base and credo.

Although his views don't go along with the modern Republicans, they don't really go with the Democrats either. 3rd parties never win, so the best bet is Republican. They are the ones who voted for Bush, so they need to hear his message the most. It's easier to convince a Democrat to vote for him then a Republican.

I am not a big Ron Paul supporter. I really don't like a lot of his ideas, but he is not all wrong. So no, he should not be running as a Democrat because those people are the most backward group of presidential candidates I've ever seen.

Could be. I'm surprised he hasn't been thrown out of the Republican Party for Excessive Integrity.
But maybe they keep him and Arlen Spector around as their token Honest Men.

well I will meander a guess, the first part of republican is republic, that is what america is supposed to be isn't it? so I am guessing that is appropriate for him. even tho the meaning has changed for this word, the orignal intent was republic party that supported the constitition and bill of rights.

to the alternative he's extremely Republican. the only project that makes him "un- Republican" is his stance on the Iraq conflict. we ought to % the superb candidate regardless of their occasion association. consequently definite i could help Ron Paul if he grew to become right into a Dem or autonomous because of the fact his record speaks for itself.

His ideas are looney for both Republican and Democratic parties. I suggest he either drop out or run as the true Libertarian that he is as the Libertarian Party candidate. Eithr way he will be a big loser.
