If a component doesn't work in one computer, I would take it and put it in another computer to test it. Other than that, there are many software solutions to help out, but you're still gonna need a computer to run the software and the checkup. If you just got a lot of parts laying around and you want to know if they work, then just swap them one-at-a-time out with the same part on a working computer and you'll know right away if it's a working part or not. good luck
