What you need is an on demand hot water heater, they take up less room and use less energy by only heating the water you are using and not a big tank full all the time.

Most showerheads are using 2-1/2 gallons a minute. Thats 25 gallons for a ten minute shower. The hot water from the tank is replaced by cold water so it is getting cooled off during the process.

its because your water heater can only heat so much at a time, once you take more than a 20-25 minute shower your water will start to get warm then cold, after you shower you might want to wait 45- 1 hour to take another long shower.

If you want your water heated longer you will need to get a larger hot water heater. You are currently using all that is heated and it can not keep up. This is normal. Sorry

What size is your tank? 30 minutes is a long shower. Is it gas or electric? Gas recovers faster. Is it brand new or second hand? If it's old, it may be so full of water scale there's no room for the water.
