As a Leafs fan, I have enjoyed the Air Canada Centre as our home arena, but I still miss Maple Leaf Gardens. Tell me which one you think is the better arena.

While I'm sure that the ACC has all the modern conveniences, there is no way to replace the ambience you got in MLG. There was something magic about those old arenas, at least to hockey fans. The history was so thick, you could feel it when you walked in the building. MLG and the Forum both were places that the first time you walked into them you were struck by the fact you were walking into one of hockey's most holiest places. It will be a long time before the ACC or the Bell Centre can generate the same feel.

I agree with the Grinch. The old arenas are nostalgic and memorable.

Although I have yet to see a game in the ACC, I have taken a tour....in the summer time. But I have had the privilege to see the Leafs take on the Ding-a-lings (Wings) in the Maple Leaf Gardens back in the early 90's. It was awesome...a memory I will cherish forever!

The hangar is a stale place to see a hockey game compared to Conn Smythe's old house. The only original 6 arena I disliked was MSG..............I loved the other 5....but I have to admit, if it had gardens in the name....it was in the bottom three.

My favourite arenas
1. Montreal Forum
2. Chicago Stadium
3. Detroit Olympia
4. Boston Garden
5. Maple Leaf Gardens

I am from MI, so hockey is in my blood. There was nothing like playing in the Joe Louis Arena when I was a kid until I set foot in the Gardens for a peewee tournament. It is one of the best hockey cities of all time, and that place should be a shrine. Unreal feeling to just set step on the ice... so much history in there.

At least make part of it a museum of Maple Leafs - St. Pat's - Arenas history. Maybe even move the Hall-of Fame there.

I have not yet been able to make it back to Toronto to enjoy the ACC, but the one game I saw at the garden was great! It was the last game between the Leafs and the Blackhawks.
