You need to bleed your brakes. Or when the replace the brake pad they bled the brakes but didn't completely close the bleeder valve. Look in your brake fluid reservoir and see if you have any fluid left.

Either way you have to bleed it if air was introduced into the system. If you paid a pro to do the job, take it back. If not then it something you can do it yourself (just need a buddy). Just bled the most remote brake corners and work your way to nearest corner

rear pass side,
rear driver side,
front pass side,
front driver side

Good Luck.

At anytime when you bleed the brakes did you let the pedal(master cylinder )travel to the floor?
One of the most common problems are damage to the cylinder when doing a brake repair.Always use short strokes of the pedal, while bleeding, pushing pistons out to meet the rotors.and the fluid should be clear, not dark.
Master cylinder is probably gone bad.

Did you bleed the brakes? and check your brake fluid, maybe you need some and that's why the light is on, there could be a leak somewhere.

Have you checked the brakes in the rear of the vehicle? The rear brakes are what give the pedal the most amount of pressure.
