I would actually feel better letting her make it up to me ;)
spending the day at the beauty salon and out to eat. her husband is coming in from Africa tomorrow and they are going out of town for Christmas. So this is kinda her way of making up for my birthday and Christmas.

Get the most expensive thing on the menu even if you don't like it! Make her pay and don't let her forget why you are making her pay!

Don't get the most expensive things out of spite. Simply pick what you want that you will be happy with. If you pick some super expensive hair style thing at the salon and end up not liking it, you wasted time and money.
Pick what you like and if it turns out it's the most expensive thing on the menu/price list, it's cool, as long as you will be happy with it.

Go to Lidl or Aldi for your fruit and veg its always good quality but often cheaper than the main supermarkets. I have noticed that many products in the"healthy" ranges cost alot more than the regular range, but if you look at the labels you'll find that the nutritional values aren't so different and some are actually better for you than the "healthy" ones!

I would get all I can out of her!!! My Family does me the same way..when I can afford (they know I can quite a few times) they go all out...I say you should too...
