A chief constable has checked whether his headquarters is safe against burglars - by scaling scaffolding and climbing through a window.
North Wales Police's Richard Brunstrom staged the "break-in" because he was concerned there was a security risk

Will you be doing the same at your place of work?

I suppose if there was a break in people would be asking how could the police let it happen?

Well, he is a Chief Constable after all. He'd look pretty stupid if a burglar broke in and pinched something wouldn't he. The newspapers would have a field day. I reckon he's just being sensible and covering his back in case he needs to. Whether he would do the same thing if he were in a different job, I don't know. If he DID, then yes, he'd be taking it too seriously - unless of course the job was Head of Security . Have just looked at that link. I think he's a sensible bloke who's surrounded by the namby pamby politically correct brigade. How many other policemen in a high position would allow someone to try out a tazer on them?

Since you seem to agree with the World Health Organization, maybe you'd like to read this article: Swine flu: Border controls 'don't work' warns WHO Gregory Hartl, a WHO spokesman. In a blunt assessment of the danger from swine flu, he said: "Border controls don't work. Screening doesn't work. "If a person has been exposed or infected... the person might not be symptomatic at the airport." "Fever monitoring doesn't work because you don't get the cases which are still in incubation," he told a news conference in Geneva.

Don't take it so lightly. Thieves broke into my local police station and nicked the toilets. The investigating officers said they had nothing to go on!

Nah. I could just walk in through the door and hop over the barrier - nobody would notice - and if they did, the guy on the desk has sticks anyway so wouldn't catch me.

Brunstrum is bonkers. He does love to tittilate the media with his moronic little stunts. He got himself shot with tasers a couple of months ago. What a bell-end.
