I feel lost and that my life is out of control. My relationship of 5 years is ending. I was just diagnosed with cancer. I need something to believe in.

You need to find your inner strength and rise above. Step by step. Find the love you have in yourself and that in those close to you.
Take heart in those who have walked before you.

OK.
You feel lost and out of control - So do I, so I can associate with you somewhat. That's not to say you will always feel like that, and things can and will improve.
Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but with a little help from either family or friends, perhaps even a doctor, your life will become something you can control in due course.
As for your relationship breakdown, for what ever reason, it hasn't ended yet, so there is still a chance that you can hang on to it.
If you can't, take it as an opportunity to gain a stronger relationship. Love comes when you least expect it.
As for cancer, you will know that a lot of the time it is curable.
A positive attitude will help, which will only come about by dealing with the first two issues.
Believe in yourself, and you'll get there.
Best of luck.

I really feel for you but you've got to start believing in yourself, your family and your friends. Keep them around you, you need them now and thats what they are there for. Start thinking what you want from life and make it happen. About a year and a half ago I felt life was over and even considered suicide. I decided that I had to make a change, I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. I decided I wasn't going to let it get me down and that my life was mine. I realised it was an empty sketch pad and I held the pencil. I now own two business's and i'm about to buy my third. I havn't time anymore to get depressed. Good luck I hope everything works out. And just so you know my mother was diagnosed with cancer 7 years ago, she has now made a full recovery and is very healthy. God bless.

Birdboy is right. But, no one can GIVE you anything to believe in. It is something YOU have to DO as an act of faith.

We all sin and there must be atonement (a price paid for sin). Man could not keep the law...and so God GAVE Jesus as a righteous and ultimate sacrifice for our sins. Jesus is the reason...because of His death we have the promise of eternal life with Him in Heaven. No more tears, no more pain, no more sorrow. And all we have to do is believe.

You see signs of this nature pertaining to the following verse all over the place, even that guy at football games has one, but the scripture only. I repeat it for you so you will not have to seek to look it up.

John 3 :16 says: For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

When you join with a body of believers, you can get the support you need. You just have to ask for it. Even believers don't read minds!

There is no other name under which you may be saved to eternal life...Jesus.

God bless you.

If you have a real trustworthy friend who will be there for you no matter what, confide in that person, and lean on his/her strength. I'm not going to presume to preach to you, but Jesus Christ is a FRIEND who is closer than a brother, and if you haven't already, try forming a personal relationship with Him, because you can trust Him to the utmost. I know, because He is has kept me sober since 1998, and delivered me from smoking and helped me through losing my parents, my youngest brother, and my favorite uncle(Dad's brother) all within 3 years !! Jesus can be your strength when yours is gone. He'll hold your hand when you feel like you can't go on. If it weren't for Him, I'd have drunk myself to death long ago. I will pray for you each day. I may not know you, but God does.

believe in yourself, your friends and your family...you don't need any extra stress right now...concentrate on your health and getting better...if you have a faith, count on that too and keep upbeat people around you.
Take Care

Study Islam and get your life together by making decisions for yourself. Work on not feeling sorry for yourself and get healthy.

Take a break from the hustle and bustle in your life if you can.
