When you buy expansion packs for The SI'ms 2 each pack adds to your existing game so yes you can have Deluxe and as many, or few, expansion packs as you want by just installing them onto the computer too. You then play your game with the disk of the most recently released game you have but im not sure with Deluxe 'cause that is newer than University but it is still the base game... I think because Deluxe includes Nighlife you would need to use the Deluxe disk if you only had Deluxe and University but with the others i assume that you would use the latest expansion pack disk (if you insert the incorrect disk to play it will come up with a message anyways). So, if you were only buying one set of disks for more than one laptop and installed them all on both laptops only one person could play at a time 'cause you'd need the same disk.
Also, make sure your laptops are good enough for Pets & Seasons as the system requirements changed when Pets was released - this is especially important with graphics cards because an un-supported graphics card/chip can result in red and black walls (not good!).
So here are the requirements for Seasons:

The Sims 2 are loaded by the most recent expansion that is installed on a computer. So I guess you will have to load it with Sims 2 Seasons Disk. And yes, you can both buy different disks and install them on both of your computers but you will still have to use the Sims 2 Seasons Disk to load the game, or maybe, I'm not sure, you can use a lower version Like The Sims 2 Nightlife to load the game. If you don't want to get bothered with these problems about discs, I suggest that you download a NO CD Crack for The Sims 2 Seasons. And I didn't quite understand what you meant with that, how does university work, did you mean, what is the game like , or how to install it? Anyway, it adds an age to sims (young adults), but they can only experience it if the go to the university. And at the university you age is passing as you pass your exams. You can also join a frat house or join a band! Have fun

Nope, you have to use the LATEST expansion pack that you own, that has been released as your running disk.... So for ex, if you have pets seasons and uni... you could load all three onto one computer and use the seasons disk because its the lastest, then just uni and pets on another and use the pets disk, and then just uni onto a third and use the uni disk... This is the only way around it, unless you want to share disks....

You have to use the most recent expansion pack's disc to play the game. Out of the list you gave, that's Seasons. Thus you will all need Seasons to play the game as you want it. Be cautious - laptops are not nearly as powerful as desktops, and depending on your graphics card and RAM, you may not be able to run all of the expansion packs without lag or other issues involving gameplay.
University allows a new age group (young adults - between teen and adult) to go to college. You get new college towns, new careers (if you have a college degree), and some new objects. Probably my least favorite expansion pack.

You'll have to have the latest released expansion pack disk to start the game. So you could get away with buying one copy of all but the last expansion since you'd both need the disk to start the game. Although legally you both should buy your own copy of each expansion.

Load them onto your computer. Whichever one you load last will be the disk you have to use to run the program. University has it's own separate towns. The programs work together really well. They add options for you to chose from.
Have fun!
