artificial, because after we married we spent the first 2 Christmas eves in the emergency room. the doc suggested that it was the mold growing in the bark of real trees that was making us so very sick. had fake for the last 34 years!

Avoid tinsel or garland as the cat may decide to eat it and can cause major problems. Also, I bought a pre-lit artificial tree and have discovered that the electrical cords are somewhat loose and my kitten has gotten caught several times. Thankfully she was just an inch or two off the ground and it didnt really hurt her. Make sure your cat cant get caught up in the cords and get strangled.

A fake one. It isn't up yet as we were hoping my youngest Son would be home from the hospital for the holidays but he won't.
I don't want Christmas without him. It just isn't fair. Christmas is family and part of my family is missing.

I have a beautiful small prelighted tree that my husband and I together(he passed away October 31st quite suddenly and unexpectedly),and now I put it up in front of the mirror in my living room so it shines outside. It changes colors every few minutes and I love it and miss him SO VERY, VERY MUCH!

I don't have one yet and the kids are driving me nuts because of that ------but we always get a real one the thing is this weekend the weather was so bad I couldn't and last weekend i had no money for one so hopefully today after work I'll get one--and we'll decorate this weekend (lol)
