i have been off the depo shot for five months,and every month i bleed for weeks at a time.its light bleeding and spotting and pink discharge.is this normal when getting off the shot. I know it's takes 6 to 18 months to get out of your system.but im only 22 and have no kids.

Talk to your doctor quickly.
Glad to hear you are off of depo, it takes months if not years to fully recover from its horrible affects.
Its normal, some bleed, some don't.
I would talk to the doctor about getting pills to regulate it and help your body recover.

this is normal with depo, you are right it may take up to 18 months for the side effects to go away. you could try the birth control pill to control it. if you are worried about being 22 and having no kids, why didnt you think about that before you got the shot?
