I need help finding a movie soundtrack song that I can sing in a contest...I sing more alto and suprano...and the song doesn't have to be a woman's song...I just can't think of anything good..but something different...NOT THE FOLLOWING: Titanic, The Sound Of Music, A Walk To Remember, Phanto Of the Opera....these have already been used....I would rather it be something not so heard of...if you know what I mean...any help at all would be appreciated...thanks! :)

I love the song Uninvited by Alanis Morisette, and it's from the movie City of Angels with Nicholas Cage, I think you should try that one. It's in the same range you said you can sing in.
There are a lot of songs from that movie you could do. And that song "Don't wanna miss a thing" by aerosmith was in that movie about the comet with Bruce Willis. Armageddon.

Great question. There are so many, and I love movie music. You want something people know, but don't hear all the time.
Well, from Robin Hood, we have Brian Adam's "Everything I Do, I do for you,". Or you can go with a gorgeous song written by Marvin Hamlish "What I Did For Love". I would recommend doing a search on winners and nominees for "Best Song" on an Oscars web site. You may find something great that's not always sung. Hope that helps. Paul

"Into the West" from Lord of the Rings

"You'll Be in My Heart" from Tarzan (probably the low end of your range)

"When She Loved Me" from Toy Story 2 (might be hard to find a good arrangement for you, but a very good song)

"Colors of the Wind" from Pocahontas

How about "There You'll Be" by Faith Hill from the Pearl Harbor soundtrack?

Give it a listen.

I like the Casablanca idea.
My first thought was something from Dirty Dancing. =D

I think you should do "Keep it Gay" or "Springtime for Hitler" from The Producers.

That would be great!
