i personally think he will stick with john terry.who else is there? certainly shouldnt be steven gerrard because he (for whatever reason)just doesnt do it for england.not much of an inspiration.
my choice would be rooney but th thing is there are players in the squad who have won more than him and hes quite young so maybe the senior players wouldnt like that

I didn't want Terry as England captain to begin with. I honestly didn't.
I thought Steven Gerrard should have been given the job.
You probably won't agree with me on this but I think the only reason why Terry got the armband in the first place was because he was the darling of the southern based/biased media and when McClaren was appointed he tried his hardest to keep in their good books.
John Terry has been in trouble loads of times. fighting outside nightclubs, the 9/11 incident(no he didn't do it. I mean he actually took the piss out of some yanks as it was happening.), just being a general tosser.
Steven Gerrard might be scouse but he doesn't have a criminal record and is a more competent leader in my opinion.

Its not a decision he needs to make straight away. He will think about what they offer, their level of respect from their team mates and ability to motivate.
Terry has lost my respect with his tantrums and stand over tactics of referee's. Rooney is calming down. He does still have his moments, but he showed against Liverpool he is settling and not challenging so much whereas Terry is becoming what Rooney used to be. He is still a bit young in my opinion and too much pressure comes with the job. I wouldn't like to see him sidetracked with all that. Logic says Gerrard but in my opinion, he has trouble now motivating himself let alone the team. I don't know. Glad the decision is Capello's to make :P

it would be a terrible choice for capello to keep terry as captain. his behaviour is detestable and especially dangerous when confronting the referee following the booking of a teammate and trying to nick the card? or worse, his behaviour (booming the ball at fabregas' head) yesterday could have well seen him get sent off BEFORE he limped off. on the replay you could see in his eyes what he was trying to do and where he was focused. a vengeful, spiteful captain?
the last thing england need are to go a man down, then go two men down when their captain is sent off for nicking a card frome the ref.
thats why beckham was a good captain. im not going to say that he should be given the armband, but terry is certainly not deserving.

i think gerrard is the only player deserved the armband. i am a united fan but to me gerrard is a good captain. he has the mentality. vision. spirit. fight till the end. he showed that againts milan. against west ham.
second choice would be becks!!!
rooney has the quality but he is too young.
my decision.....give gerrard the armband!!!
