Every year I say I am getting it done "early" and every year I am like the last shopper to leave the stores. I think even the bell ringer is waiting for me to get out!!

This year "finally" I am done early.....minus two more gifts to find for my younger son who is a "pickle" to shop for!

My biggest problem then is waiting for Christmas now..... I can't have all these gifts and "wait" to pass them out. I am so impatient. I want to give them all the moment I purchase them!

**been_here_and_gone you might want to start passing out fruit cake or something you baked up fresh. If you pass out cash and it is spent at the same stores your avoiding, it completely defeats your purpose. Don't focus your holidays around corperations, but instead your family. Your putting your focus in the wrong direction and taking away from the wrong things to make a point that is not likely to be noticed in the business world on your own. Christmas is about sharing and giving and family. Not about what business gained the most. I figure so what, its the holidays and someone is getting overtime and a better holiday from it. So let them.

Would it also include gas companies (for travel, food establishments (for holiday meals), tree companies (for cut tree's) eletric companies (for all the lights) etc???? Its Christmas forget all that!

Started and 90% complete (and wrapped!).

I have three gift cards to pick up for my nephews and stocking stuffers left.

Oh - and we managed a Wii (which we were not planning on because they were sold out) so we need to go pick up a couple of things for that....so maybe 87% done.

lol with 4 kids I swear I am never "done" shopping until Christmas morning!

I have been finished shopping since the first week of November. I shop online so I have the gifts wrapped and sent the homes of the receivers. Around the beginning of November a lot of places have sales, free shipping and reduced price for wrapping. It's easier and I always get what I want.

I don't do Xmas shopping. I spend time with the family and give them money for the things they really want after Xmas. All this stuff about giving presents is just a lot of crass commercialism. I try to resist corporate brainwashing as much as possible.

I'm almost finished. My husband and I visited a huge indoor flea market yesterday and were able to get something for almost everyone on our list. I was really surprised by this place, I was expecting a bunch of junk dealers but most had new items so it was awesome!!

I'll have mine completely finished by tomorrow!

I finally got a little people so I was able to get a few things. I hope everyone understands that we just do not have much this year. I am worried that my 16 year old is going to be disappointed.
