Inspiration need not be invoked nor run out to the store for. It's part of the cosmic radiation, ideative particles permeating every cubic inch of the volume we inhabit.

You seem to have a better than average antenna.

Tin foil hat wearers think they are blocking alien influence. But they merely shield themselves from getting a clue.

Edit: I disagree with Elaine about Walmart being a good place to pick up inspiration. The kind you get there is fabricated in Chinese sweatshops and finished with lead based paint.

I don't think you have any problem finding inspiration, TD. I wonder how some people can be so prolific.

I'm also sure that you know that the ordinary, the mundane, can certainly inspire, whether you rail against its numbness or find little miracles overlooked within it all. If you can look at something from a new or previously unconsidered yet meaningful angle, you can write an effective poem about it. Not to boast, but I could pick up any piece of garbage and write something about it (and hopefully through the alchemy of poetry, the poem would not be garbage).

I once stepped into a Walmart, hoping to "nurture" inspired.

Sadly I eventually left, when all I "grew" was tired.

I also call out to the Universe, often to my Muse.

The answer though is always the same,

"What ya got is what you should use."

Good on ya TD.

I prefer Valhalla, but Walmart has its own charm.

I just finished reading your answer about the fish burger sandwich question. I laughed so much!

Walmart is out of inspiration...so is Sam's club, Kohl's and Kmart....I even tried Walgreens and couldn't find it there either! So I'm hoping it will come from within.
Good luck to you too, and Merry Christmas!

Inspiration is as close as the vacuum cleaner on the floor....in other words...ANYTHING and EVERYTHING is fair game!!!!

I'm looking at my last menthol cigarette...fair game!
The dog biting an invisible flea...game!
That spider web that isn't there anymore...game!

Search your inner self!
Inspiration comes from within......as you see yourself, others and the drama of life as God sees it!
