its a diesel suzuki vitara. the Mechanics will obtain a new head gasket and install it. what sort of price would be reasonable for the whole job?

Over here in Canada, a head gasket replacement in a gas vehicle is around 600-800 dollars. With a diesel, there may be a bit more involved as you have a fuel pump do deal with. I would assume it will be around the same price after the conversion...300-500 pounds.

just make sure they mill the head or you will be doing it agin
