Not only that - the people round here who drive these stupid "cars" are usually so small they can't see over the steering wheel. I've lost count of the number of times I've nearly reported a 4x4 stolen because I thought I'd seen a child driving it. Turned out of course to be a tiny Asian woman.

Anyone who states they can drive a 4 x 4 without having been on a 4x4 course and completed it,is being a little fanciful. There are many 4x4 clubs around who hold competitions regularly,if you can complete one of their competition course ,then yes you can drive a 4x4.If you just have the polished merc road model, then no,it is just the same as driving a van. Many road models could not get round a proper competition course ,the wheels, tyres and ground clearance are not up to spec for it ,not to mention the suspension and totally unecessary plastic spoilers. These are just like picking the kids up from school hacks with a little attitude.Go and join a 4x4 club and really enjoy your weekends winching your mates out.

I can drive and park my SUV.
I use 4WD when it's snowy out and I go a safe speed - usually close to the posted limit. It's ALWAYS the other people on the roads with 2 wheel drive and bald tires that slow me down. I am able to park it fine in most spaces. If I find myself over the lines, I will get back in and straighten it out. People who can't park - regardless of the kind of car they have - are a huge pet peeve of mine. It doesn't take an SUV driver to park poorly.

My friend has one, he is a driving instructor and frequently goes 'off-roading' in his 4X4. He can park anywhere, and I mean anywhere in his vehicle. He is also a gentleman and wouldn't pinch anyone's regular parking space.

There should be a special license and advanced driving test requirement for those things.

They are learner cars, thats why they have bull bars for bumpers. Next time give them a little more space, you were a learner once.
