Certainly works for me, and I often feel uncomfortable classifying what is or isn't "poetry"

Yes this is a poem it is what I would call free verse , doesnt rhyme yet still in some way touches the soul..as for noticing anything yes , every letter of the alphabet was used as the 1st letter in each word ...except for the letter V ...Not hard to miss that one ..Did you write this ...I like the wittiness of it ..
I have been writing poetry for over 30 years ...

I'd call it a poetic exercise because of the linguistic device of placing all the words in alphabetical order. This has been done before on particular topics; there's even an "alphabet of woe" in a prayer book, listing sins in alphabetical order--one of which is "xenophobia." It's a great effort though, so keep writing.

Even thoroughly sober, i might like it. i think of i might desire to be waiting to make journeys to Mars yet come decrease back to Earth besides.

I have actually read a poem where the author wrote one verse for each letter of the alphabet, and every word of each verse started with that letter.... "Androgynous androids ambled amiably along...."
