No, I wouldn't. I wouldn't want to go under the knife for anything. Much less for corrective surgery. What I was born
with, I'm going to die with. Even if there's more excess now LOL. They say that your ears get bigger along with your nose
too as one ages. And I can attest to that myself. I've also
seen the rest of me inflate as well LOL. Oh well, just evidence
of eating well LOL.
I have seen many before and after bad plastic surgery jobs
and have felt sorry for those who wanted to improve their
looks. Once I knew a woman who'd had a job on her bust
line, and the doctor messed her up totally. So she was
reluctant to have it re done by anyone else. There are no
guarantees that the doctor you choose will improve your
looks. And so it's necessary to look for one that has done
these surgeries many many times. And also that he comes
highly referred by former patients, who have been more
than satisfied with their procedures. Things can go wrong
during any surgery. It is a shock to our systems and some-
times we can also get a heart attack from the stresses
being caused by either the anethesia or the surgical pro-
cedure itself. So I'll just ride out the time I have left, looking
the way I do. And hey, it's not that bad anyway. I've been
blessed with little wrinkles and so I'll just glide on down LOL.

I have been under general anesthetic several times in my life. I would do it again in a minute if and only if there was a sound medical reason for it. Vanity is not one of my strong suits and in my estimation it will never rise to the level of a "sound medical reason".
My first experience was with ether. That's how far back my reasons go. I needed and received surgery but, it had nothing to do with wrinkles, bags or sags.
In the event of an accident where I needed to be reassembled I would probably consent but it would have to be more than appearance.

I am not that concerned about looks, I look at how the person is inside not outter appearances. Besides the rest of my body will continue to age, so what the heck. I do not have that big of an ego to think that I should look like a 20 or 30 year old at my age. I can think of better ways I would spend my money, and would not do it even if for free.

No WAY ! I can't believe some of the people I've seen on tv that have had multiple surgerys. They looked better in the "before" picture. Also I have seen a face lift and a nose job operation . I'll stay the way God made me thank you.

No I would not unless my life was in danger. Hospitals have too many germs and not enough sterility in their procedures, staph infections are rampant,I never want to get cut open ,at my age I don't care what I look like,too many incompetent hospital personnel and I know, I was a nurse and watched some of those doctors and nurses and was horrified at their lack of sterile procedures.

Whoa, you make it sound like people do not use plastic surgery on a daily basis .
============================
http://www.aamc.org/students/cim/pub_plasticsurgery.htm
A plastic surgeon deals with the repair, reconstruction, or replacement of physical defects of form or function involving the skin, musculoskeletal system, head and facial structures, hand, extremities, breasts and trunk. A plastic surgeon uses aesthetic surgical principles not only to improve undesirable qualities of normal structures, but in all reconstructive procedures as well.
Plastic Surgeons can receive training in the following subspecialties:
* Craniofacial Surgery - reconstructive treatment of disorders of the soft and hard tissues of the face and cranial areas.
* Surgery of the Hand - expertise in the investigation, preservation, and restoration by medical, surgical and rehabilitative means, of all structures of the hand and wrist.
=====================================
You are zeroing on cosmetic reconstruction- often needed to restore or reconstruct and normalize the features of accident and trauma victims, burn victims etc.
Here is a list of common procedures:
* Facial Plastic & Cosmetic Surgery
* Face & Neck Lifts
* Nose Surgery (Rhinoplasty)
* Eyelid Surgery
* Eyebrow & Forehead Lifts
* Protruding Ear / Ear Size Reduction (Otoplasty)
* Lip Enhancement and Reshaping
* Medical Microdermabrasion
* Chemical & Glycolic Peels / Allodrm / Cymetra
* Laser Resurfacing
* Botox®
* Collagen Injections
* Excision of Moles & Lesions
* Skin Cancer Treatment
* Repair of Facial Cuts / Scar Revisions
* Mini / Full Facelifts
* Liposuction
* Skin Cancers
* Skin Rejuvenation
=====================================
There is more to plastic surgery than the tv shows.
And I have used the services of these medical specialists myself for mole removal, scar revisions, and they work everyday in regular hospitals doing any and all of the above.
jobs. So the answer to your question is yes, these guys serve vital functions, and You will use them yourself when you need them, free or with pay from your own pocket.

You bet I would! Nothing major, but these eyes could sure use a lift. I could also go for some reconstruction surgery on something that a lumpectomy left a bit misshapen.

Yes, I have a hereditary tendency to eyelids that hang over the eye. My sister had cosmetic surgery to correct that, and she looks like a new woman. I'll line up for it when the time comes.

What if they sucked the fat out of my rear and injected it into my lips? Would my lips be numb? Would I look like a blo fish? Would they jiggle like jello when I spoke? Or, would they be hard to the touch?
I know two things, my breathe would smell like my rear, yikes and I'm sure I would look like a blo fish.
So, no thank you:~)
Merry Christmas
