I'm the same all year 'round - it's just that the rest of the world catches up with me and is cheerful, giving and nice to others at this time of year. The phenomenon you're noticing is when nice behavior isn't the norm for some folks. Some people aren't very happy with one aspect or another of their lives and aren't taking steps to make the necessary changes. Unless you meet every day happy to be going where you're going (physically and metaphorically) then you're likely to be unhappy and spreading that stuff around. If you're happy with your life and wouldn't change it one iota, or are in the process of making changes, then your optimism and love for your fellow-man knows no bounds.
It sounds like you're in a pretty happy place right now. The world could use more happy people.
Have a fabulous holiday!

That's a bit of a generalisation Bex!! I think people are nice to each other all the year round but I agree with you that SOME people are only nice at Christmas. Maybe the festive season brings the best out in them - we can only hope!!!! xx

I think that love and kindness are so well marketed at Christmas time that people just get into the spirit of the season. It should not be a seasonal occurance. The sad part is that the same people that we greet or interact with throughout the Christmas season are the same people who we ignore throughout the year.It costs nothing to be kind but the reward is priceless. There is a saying "You may only be one person in the world but you may be the world to one person."

Because, sadly, this is the only time people only remember the people or family around them. They only think that Christmas is only all about gifts and forget to give love all year round not only on that particular "time". The reason people cant do this all year round is because this is the only time we expect for gifts, from relatives from friends, from loved ones. People forget to enjoy life all year round from the simplest things people can give to them, like joy and love, and giving them back to everyone they know, they will know, and they knew. Sadly this is true.. =(

I think I am with Bluebell on this one....I do agree that a lot of people seem to be nicer at Christmas....but I know I try to be nice to people all year.....and I am sure many others do, too...although, I admit, it can be a struggle for me at times! I will try to do even better next year....I know I need to try not to let other people annoy me at times.

I think people just get swept away with the feel good factor bex.... twinkling lights, baubles, that Cinnamony Christmas smell, Christmas carols and songs, kids concerts etc etc. Oh and thinking they may get a pressie of you probably helps !!

I've noticed that also.I think people just try harder to be nice during the Christmas season.I try to be a nice caring person all year long.
Merry Christmas to you and yours.

It's the season of goodwill not that you'ed know it with my family but it's unrealistic for us all to be nice all of the time it would make it dull but don't agree with being nasty to others no need for it whatever the time of year it is.
