I don't make a lot of money, and I need to pay for college and that takes up pretty much most of my salary. But I can pay for maybe a car or for braces...I'm 20 and I HATE my teeth and it's a big issue for me, I hate smiling. So- should I hurry up and get them at this age, it's embarrassing enough but at least I won't have to get them in my 30s, or should I get a car? That would be great because I have to walk everywhere...work, school, and it's so hard for me to do anything with no transportation. BUT you also have to pay for gas and insurance. Which should I get?

I say go for the braces. They will increase your confidence in yourself allowing you to concentrate more once you reach the workforce when you don't have to worry about your smile.

If you are managing ok without a car now - get the braces. As you know, there are many other costs associated with owning a car. Once you have your braces, you can start saving for the car. Once you get a car though, you may never have the extra cash to get your braces.

Braces because if you don't like your smile..this will improve yourself esteem. Get the braces now. It is now or never. Don't worry about a car now even though it will be convenient. Start saving again for the car or maybe you may get a better job and/or once you finish school you may get a car.

Walk while you are able and get the teeth done now. That way when you look for a job, you`ll be fit, and have a nice smile, both of which help get the job. Merry Christmas.

Go for the braces. It will help your self-image immensely. Also, consider that walking is very good for you. Shoe leather is a lot less expensive than gas, insurance and auto maintenance. Good luck!
