I like the fact that Fred stood up form what he thinks and believes. As far as Thompson's campaign being on life support, you can thank the media for some of that.
I have seen Fred more energetic myself, but Fred Thompson is a serious contender for President, and quite frankly, Democrats did not want him in the contest.
Besides that, if being full of life, and excitement is a qualification for running for President, someone explain Al Gore to me. (More life in a dry dishrag.)

Thompson's campaign is on life support. He'll be out of the nomination process by super tuesday, Feb 5.
