MY OCCUPATION WAS LAW ENF FOR 42 YEARS. 1968 --$640 PER MONTH.
AT THE LAST OF THIS TOUR OF WORK, I COULD MAKE AS MUCH AS I WANTED TO WORK OVERTIME. ( $100,000 A YEAR)
THE ANNUAL SALARY BASE FOR CORRECTIONS IS 26 TO 48,000 AND RISING AS NOBODY WANTS TO GO INSIDE A PRISON AND DO THE WORK.
AS THE WORK FORCE DOES NOT WANT TO DO CERTAIN MANUAL LABOR JOBS, THE DICHOTOMY FOR THOSE JOBS CHANGES. YOU RISE THE BAR OF A FIXED SALARY, TO GET PEOPLE TO BE ENTICED.
WHERE A CERTAIN JOB WAS WHITE COLLAR, BLUE COLLAR OR PINK COLLAR, TODAY THERE ARE NO SET COLLAR STANDARDS.

How would you determine which class to put above the others? What is really more important? I mean, lawyers...who really needs them? Yet they make tons of money and most people would say they should be in the 'higher classes'. BUT trashmen are likely to be classified as low and yet, they are completely necessary in the sanitary keeping of the towns and cities...so who gets to pick what is high and what is low?
