OK, I'm retarded. Math isn't my bag. I should have paid more attention in class. But here I am and I need to know what 3e-8 means. A big number? A small number? I give up. (I will be happy if it's a small number though.)
More details: it's the probability of obtaining a SOBEL test result of 5.56668.

But it could be that you mean:-
(ii) 3e^(-8)

e is a number of approx. value 2.718
3e - 8 = 0.154
Question (ii)
3 / e^8 = 1.01 x 10^(-3)
