ok you have to be more specific. Does it shake when the car is at idle. when your driving at a certain speed or only when you accelerate?

Ok, had the same thing happen to my car the other day. In my case it was a hole in the housing going into the throttle body. What caused the shaking was lack of fuel caused by the computer not getting the right signal from the mass air flow sensor, since air was not passing through the sensor which tells the computer how much fuel to add to the combustion chamber.

Short answer, look for a leak somewhere past the mass air flow sensor and before the throttle body. Or any leak anywhere in the emmisions system.

Hope this helps.

You need to be more specific about the model and year of this car. Is it a 4,6, 8 or 12 cylinder. Is it K-jetronic, L-jetronic, or Motronic. Does the engine idle smoothly but cause the car to shake when the trans is engaged?? It could be a bad motor or trans mount. Need more info!!!!!!!!!
