I was about to go on the pill but I heard you are supposed to go on it first day you start your period.. its a couple days after. Does it matter if I start now? Can I start taking it now? please help?

you can start it the day after your period too, or some people start on the sunday after so it's easier to remember, and then you always get the weekend without it!! i don't think it REALLY matters when you start the pill...just remember that it isn't effective for the 1st month so you still have to use some other protection. it might take your body a couple months to get into the rhythm so you might spot sometimes. good luck! :)

You can take it up to day 5 but then you have to use protection for the first 7 days. If you take it on the 1st day, you don't have to worry about this as you will be protected immediately.

When did your DOCTOR who prescribed them say to take it?

Call up your DOCTOR and ask. Do not go off of people on YA.

My doctor told me to take it the Sunday after I start my period.
