One of the problems with sending something that requires a signature, is that if they are not home to sign for it, it could be returned.

Unless they earrings are very expensive, it is usually not worth the hassle.

A valuable lesson learned for selling on eBay.

The tracking # should be sufficient as they can verify it on the internet. If they want a copy of the shipping receipt, you can scan it and email it to them.

You should receive an email from Paypal and have a chance to give your side of the story as well if a dispute was made via Paypal. You can provide them copies of the receipt as well as the copies of the tracking information. Hopefully the information you provide will be enough evidence to close the dispute with Paypal. Did Royal mails send the item back or are they holding the item? You may want to check with Royal mails on what the current status of the shipment is as well. Good Luck.

I can tell you this from experience, The same thing happened to me and I had all the proof but, After a few of these experiences on Ebay I would debit my paypal acct. So leave about $10 at all times.
Also call and cancel your debit card or the best thing to do is actually report stolen, You see paypal will go into your account using your debit card info and you have no say so about it because you gave then the information to use and they have the right to debit your account so keep your account low on funds and keep your account just change your card # and get a new account you can do it over the phone.
These are little things I learned to do after selling for about 6 months and if you`re not carefull Ebay will clean you out.
They will nickle and dime you to death that is why the owner of Ebay is a Bilionaire.
Too many people fall for that Ebay scam and you never make as much as you should be making.
Provide paypal which is owned by Ebay a copy of the reciept which they should already have on file.
Good Luck

Hi, I have had a few problems like this. You need to reply through the dispute console only so that Ebay/Paypal can see you have tried to help. You should also let Ebay/Paypal have the tracking number so that they are able to check for themselves. Whatever you do DO NOT send the receipt to her. These issues can take a while to resolve and each person gets a certain amount of time to answer each response. If you stick with it they will usually find in your favour as you have the info to say royal mail have tried to deliver.
Hope this helps.

If he closed his Ebay account I'd stand my ground and refuse to refund. Normally Paypal would automatically finds in favor of the buyer but in this case it sounds like he has been banned by Ebay which would flag him up on Paypal as a suspicious ne'er-do-well. Your proof of postage is worthless as far as Ebay and Paypal are concerned because once the package leaves the Country it is no longer traceable by Royal Mail or Parcel Force; proof of posting is only valid within the UK. But like I said, this guy with his deleted Ebay account won't be taken so seriously by Paypal as someone with a good reputation.

Send her a photocopy of the receipt. Chances are postman tried to deliver but couldn't be bothered to leave a card - it does happen from time to time.
Provide Paypal with the same tracking number and point out that there was a delivery attempt made on the 10th.

Reply to paypal giving them all the information and ask her to close the dispute as the item was sent etc... if she does not do this go to ebay but paypal will close if she doesn't go any further with it after a certain period of time.

The tracking number should be sent to pay pal. Of course if you used pay pals service to sent it you are even safer. File the tracking number thru the pay pals dispute devision and send that info too. You do not need to send them a tracking number copy period.

Scan the receipt into your comp with a scanner & email her a copy of the receipt. Tell her to phone her local post office package holding place as it is probably there. (Or find her local postoffice & phone them yourself with the tracking number.) Postmen often don't bother putting a "we have a package for you but you weren't here" note through the door. It's probably sitting in the postoffice.

Photocopy the receipt and give her the copy. as long as you sent it recorded, you can track the progress.
