yes but usually the worst Presidents never get assasinated (Nixon). But John Lennon, Kennedy, Selina etc, they get assasinated because they are loved, the killer wants to possess that love.

I suppose they would have tried if they could, and I seem to remember that one of the planes was flying toward DC on 9-11, so maybe the White House was the target. He would have had a tough time getting the secret service to stop "the bullet" then, if he were there.
edit: I find it rather ironic that Republican Presidents would be targeted at all, since their counterparts are for gun control. JFK was a Democrat though, so I guess it could go either way.

Nobody can get near Bush. Whenever he goes before a crowd all the people are screened and have to sign a paper that they support him. There is a no free speech zone for miles around him so no protesters can get near him.
He's aware of the hate most of the world has for him.
There was an attempt on his life in another country (I can't remember where). I think it was a man that had a hand grenade. Secret service got him out of there quick.

I'm sure people have tried, but they would have to be very lucky or skilled to get close.
Even visiting dignitaries find themselves subject to security procedures, and every member of a potential function involving POTUS is vetted.
It would require nothing less than artillery to make a direct attack- not that this is impossible.
The next would-be assassin will likely be an Iranian:- their out-of-control arms industry will virtually sell to anyone and they tend to have a sharper minds than the average Arab.

He had a pretty good insurance policy in that Cheney would become president if he did.
As for Reagan - remember Hinkley was not politically motivated - rather this was the action of a deranged man who could not tell the movie Taxi Driver from reality.

Yes, but we have to remember it is nearly impossible to assasinate a president anymore. I am sure there are hundreds who have considered it. Just hold tight, we only have a year to go to be rid of this Tyrant. Here is how we should celebrate when the Tyrant slithers out of office:
It ought to be commemorated, as the Day
of Deliverance by solemn Acts of
Devotion to God Almighty. It ought to
be solemnized with Pomp and Parade,
with Shows, Games, Sports, Guns, Bells,
Trumpets, Bonfires and Illuminations
from one End of this Continent to the
other and all over the earth from this
Time forward forever more. On this
joyous day, a national holiday should
be created, which would also be
celebrated throughout the world.

Amazing indeed.
For bill: It is not just the liberals in this country bill. If you do read the news, it is the WHOLE wide world that despises the poor man. Once he leaves the Presidency, he will not be able to travel too far from Crawford.

How properly do you think of they are abiding via the Geneva conference? Your question is an absurd comedian tale and your loss of sophistication is disgraceful. SO - I think of which you anti- conflict supporters think of we are taking photographs at good variety-hearted harmless human beings over in Iraq now - suitable?

There have been at least two attempts that I am aware of. Like everything in the Bush Administration, it's been hushed up.
