Rhydian is a brilliant performer and was as you say in a different league to the others. Leon has just been on TV with the New song and i`m afraid he doesn`t cut it for me, very poor as a solo artist.

I don't think you can be too good, but there is no doubt that he far outclassed Leon, who probably had a sympathy vote because of his crying, he wasn't a patch on Rhydian as a performer.
Bryn Terfel the world reknown opera star came second in the Cardiff Greatest voice competition, I can't remember who came first, and I think that's what will happen here.
It is true that Rhydian is tied in with a year's contract with Simon Cowell's company, but Lloyd Webber has already approached him to play the next 'Phantom', so his future is well assured, so he will only look back on this as a blip.
I'don't think the show was fixed, after all the controversy and criminal investigations of past 'fixes'. It's just the 'phone system didn't work as intended.

Is it not true that if you win the X factor you're locked into a two year contract with the show/record company? And therefore coming second or one of the runners up is hugely preferable to coming first as you shall still partially own your soul and be able to have some say in your future as a singer.
I could be confusing this with the American show, but if Rhydian's come this far and not won then I'd say he's played the game very strategically well. Now he can pick up a recording contract with his choice of record companies and get on with his life as a serious singer and leave the trophey for the performing monkeys left over.

Hi. Yes, Rhydian was far too good for this show and should not really have been in it. Having said that though, I'm glad he was, as seeing him perform each song was a true joy to watch. He has such stage presence. His motion and movement are excellent.
He should have won, and maybe due to a voting mistake or scam, he would have.
This must be awful for Leon to know, but Leon is good in his own way, and just needs a few more years of maturing before say, at age 21, he will be really really good.
Rhydian will have a successful career out of this anyway.
I hope so and good luck to him.

Yeah, he was too good. All the phillistines have been complaining about him being too operatic etc. There's nothing wrong with that type of voice and people who listen to opera aren't elitist snobs. Back in the 18th Century, opera was the pop music of the day! Very ordinary people used to go to see the shows and sing the tunes!
People trashed Rhydian because they considered him to be a priviliged little rich boy. He wasn't judged on his voice or performances - he was judged because of his looks, his hair colour, people thinking he was arrogant (he's not). People have called him a freak of nature and a 'ginger minger'.... charming eh? What class these people must have!!!!!!
Yeah, he was too good. I wish him well and hope he brings an album out very soon. I'd buy it like a shot. I hope he doesn't disappear over to the US or just do shows in the West End.

He's got a great voice, no doubt about it but only to a selective audience. Leon on the other hand has a great voice, he is cute and will appeal to a wider audience (even if he did go a bit overboard with the crying thing) ... i.e. more record sales which is what the judges want. I know they say the final vote is down to the audience but I wonder if it isn't fixed cos all the judges were commenting on his songs on the final nite as tho' he wasn't going to win and we all know what happened before on ITV1 with phoneins etc. etc.!! Rhydian belongs on an opera stage, perhaps next pavarotti.

I agree i think he was on the wrong show, when i first saw him i could'nt stand him, but the more i saw him the more he grew om me, although like i said he was on the wrong show and i think Leon was right to win as Rhydian will go far anyway, so it gives 2 people a chance instead of 1.

No he wasn't everyone's cup of tea thats because he was in the wrong show. If they done an X factor for that type of music he would come tops or maybe he wouldn't. He had a strong voice but he wasn't particularly great as a performer none of them got my vote anyway this year.
