Yes, once you are more than 2 weeks late in most states the landlord can start the eviction process.

If you been given a 3 day notice to pay or quit and you have not made arrangements with the manager they can start eviction proceedings. Always talk to your manager/owner before the first of the month to work something out. Even if you are required to pay a late fee it is better than the alternative. Happy holidays and best wishes.

It depends on your lease. If your lease states that you must pay on time or be evicted, you can be evicted.

Try to seek out some help - some churches and other places of worship do have assistance programs for people to help them get back on their feet. The Salvation Army is another place, as is Neighbor to Neighbor. Check with the homeless shelter in your town and ask if they have any recommendations of other charities that may help you.

Best of luck to you. What a crappy time of year to be having a hard time.

yes, you can be evicted for non-payment of rent! but.....you can get some local help for a small amount of time if you need it. but you better not mis use this gift of help. do you have an income? can you work ? are you a single parent?( no bf/gf ?) if you answered yes- then call 211 and they will help you get on your feet before you have no where to live. also tell them your story and use proper English - all the help you need will come. oh and merry Christmas!

Yes, but there are procedures to follow. Check with your local landlord-tenant resource center.
