Zombies V.S Vampires?

Question

So, my sister and I we're having a huge debate. It was, which is cooler, Zombies or Vampires? And we got into a debate on which would kill which. I'm talking about zombies in general and vampires in general. Who would win? I say zombies. Give a reason to support your argument.

If there we're no humans in the world, just billions of zombies and maybe 100,00 humans, what would the vampires eat? Plus remember whats keeping the vampires from becoming zombies? According to 28 weeks later and 28 days later it just needs contact between blood or saliva.

There are no more humans to munch on, and according to "Interview with A vampire" vampires hate dead blood.

Forget how ugly they are. I'm talking survival!

Actually both monsters derive from the same superstitions. As you may or may not know, sometimes an unembalmed corpse will sit up, and often the nails grow long and teeth seem to protrude as the body dries up. When people couldn't explain these physiological events and were frightened, their leaders, in order to stem the panic and restore order came up with silly ghost stories to explain away the mystery and magic rituals to ward off the evil spirits, as was the habit up until science and reason gained a foothold in the Renaissance, so the people could get back to work.

But obviously a thinking, reasoning blood drinker is less of a threat than mindless automatons. Surely someone with such long experience of life would be able to control his baser urges for murder and blood, and wouldn't take more than necessary for survival. While the zombies would spread across the world like a plague and be the end of us all.

Ok.... this will take a bit...

First of all both species are undead.
The ways to kill each species are limited:
Zombies need to have their brains violently affected by something Bullet/decapitation). This is the only known way a zombie can be killed.
When a vampire is physically dealt tremendous damage, it becomes a gaseous matter and floats to its coffin. It then lies there for 2-3 nights rejuvinating. If the vampire cannot reach the coffin in time, or if someone attacks the vampire while it is resting then they are open to destruction. Other ways to dispose of vampires are: Driving a wodden stake through it's heart. NOTE: this does NOT kill the vampire and it will return to life if the stake is removed! Totally immering the vampire in sunlight or running water will intantly destroy it.

Things that bug vampires:
A vampire cannot cross running water such as a stream or a river. They can, however, be carried across in their coffins or aboard a ship.
A weak vampire stays away from garlic and reflective surfaces. (An even weaker one stays away from religious artifacts or symbols)
A vampire cannot enter a household unless he/she is invited in by someone with the authority to do so. (Little kids dont count :)

well after all of that i can say that vampires have more weaknesses then zombies but vampires can defend those weaknesses better than zombies can. Zombies are primal beings with only one thing on their half-eaten minds: YOU!

I think, and this is my opinion, Vampires win out in a contest of coolness because zombies would try to eat the judges.

I think that vampires would win because they are more fast, swift and smart. Zombies are just the living dead, not very smart, fast or swift. Vampires would easily capture a zombie or figure out very quickly how to kill them, Zombies don't have the mental capacity to figure out how to kill a Vampire. I think it's just common sense that the Vampire would win. However, I don't really like Vampires, I find them boring. I love Zombies.

I would say Vampires. They are more sexy, you know, seductive. They have an aura that is just like, " I'm dangerous, but love me". And they are the kind that people fear most but, It's the fear they generate that makes us want to be attracted to them. The idea of the immortality is part of the addiction, too. Being young, vibrant, and beautiful forever is ideal. The way the vampire is portrayed as well, the sleek, pallid, playful but fierce creature, is why a lot of people love the vampire.

Vampires would win for sure. They are more intelligent and sneaky and could kill zombies easily. Zombies are just all over the place trying to kill/eat people.

Undeath vs Undeath...
Zombies win, while not being as intelligent their sheer force and overwhelming numbers is enough to beat a gang of
vampys - they drink blood, zombies have no blood to drink >=]
Saying that, it could go either way, many interpretations of zombies include them eating brains and flesh, fighting a vampire would be hard due to the elegant flow portrayed in vampires, it would be a strong fight, but over all I believe zombies would win.

I'll say the zombies will reign supreme, because if Vampires bit a Zombie he would eventually becomes one, and I guess Zombies doesn't have much blood in them. Another thing is that even when you chopped them into pieces, it's still is alive.

I'm talking about not using any weapons here, just their ability to devour.

Of course vampires are cooler. Come on! zombies are just dead corps slowly walking around hopelessly and helplessly. In contrast, vampires are sexy.
